
Threshold Transition Support is a QTBIPOC-run small business that supports individuals and families confronting death and community organizations considering closure. I’m based in Alameda and Oakland, California and am available for in-person work throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. I also provide remote service in time zones from UTC -10 to UTC +3 (Hawaii to Cairo).

Offerings
For individuals and families, I provide 1:1 and group coaching with:
logistics: organize paperwork, appointments, & care schedules for dying person and support team
comfort: arrange home or hospital areas for comfort, space, and peace; educate care team in support practices for dying person’s body
inner work: mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, processing difficult emotions through words, movement, art, and music
ritual and ceremony: tailor spiritual processes to support strength and peace for dying person before and during their transition, and for memorial after their passing
aftercare: guide survivors through the gauntlet of post-death administration, provide grief support
For community organizations, I work 1:1 or with groups for:
facilitation: guide leadership, staff, and other stakeholders through difficult conversations, including restorative conflict resolution
inner work: mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques; processing difficult emotions through words, movement, art, and music; grief support
project management: coordinate planning and implementation of logistical, relational, operational, financial, and legal components of organizational closure
About Anand

Anand is proud to be a bisexual transgender man from an immigrant family. He has served social justice movements since 2004. After losing his mother and mentor in quick succession, Anand deepened his experiential understanding of life and death processes through formal study, psychotherapy, dream work, and community connection. Anand earned an End-of-Life Doula certificate from the University of Vermont Osher Center for Integrative Medicine in 2024.
